Chelsea C. Chou

Chelsea C. Chou is an Associate Professor at the Graduate Institute of National Development, College of Social Sciences, National Taiwan University. She earned her Ph.D. in Government from Cornell University and served as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at UC Berkeley's Institute of East Asian Studies (2022-2023). Her research examines state-society dynamics and social policy formulation in China, with broader expertise in Comparative Politics, Authoritarianism, and Chinese Politics.

She currently directs the International Affairs program (2021-2022; 2023-present) and the East Asian Studies Program (2019-2022; 2023-present) at National Taiwan University, while also advising the Taipei City Government's Mainland China Affairs Committee since 2021. Her teaching includes courses on International Communication and East Asian Affairs.
