Chase Foster

Chase Foster is a Lecturer in Politics at King's College London, affiliated with the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy and the Department of European & International Studies. He holds a PhD in Government (2012-2019) and a Master's in Public Policy (2010-2012) from Harvard University, and a BA in Public Policy Analysis & African Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (2001-2005).

His research focuses on the comparative political economy of market regulation, competition law, and the political economy of capitalism. He has published extensively in journals such as Comparative Political Studies, Socio-Economic Review, and Regulation & Governance, analyzing topics like the Atlantic Divide in Antitrust, bureaucratic legalism in the EU, and the socio-economic determinants of public trust in government.

His work extends to European politics and public policy, examining the effects of the Euro-crisis on EU integration support, labor market reform, and the political economy of industrial policy. He has received grants such as the Anti-Monopoly Fund Research Grant (2021-2023) and has presented at events like Columbia University's 'New Thinking in Industrial, Innovation & Technology Policy' (2023).
