Charles K. Wu

Charles K. Wu is a Lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). He brings three decades of professional design expertise, including leadership roles as Development Services Director for Palm Beach Gardens and Planning Director for West Palm Beach, where he pioneered one of the first Form-Based Codes for a downtown area. Wu holds dual accreditation from the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU-A) and multiple certifications, including LEED AP ND BD+C, AICP CUD, and Florida Supreme Court-certified mediation.

• Education: Master of Architecture and Master of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

His research and practice focus on urban design, sustainable development, and form-based codes, integrating environmental design principles and mediation in urban planning contexts.
