Charles Bane

Charles Bane is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication at Harding University. His career includes diverse roles such as filmmaker, television producer, and educator, alongside a PhD in Film History, Theory, and Criticism from LSU. His films have been featured in festivals like the Three Minute Film Festival and WorldFest – Houston.

Research interests span film studies, cultural critique, and communication, with publications in interdisciplinary journals such as Stephen King and Philosophy and Hollywood’s America. He co-authored A Primer of the Novel, a foundational text in literary studies.
