Charity Dewing

Charity Dewing is a part-time Adjunct Professor in the English Department at Montana State University Billings (MSUB), where she has taught since 2018. A graduate of MSUB, she studied under professors she now considers peers and earned her Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Pacific University in 2017.

• Active in short story and fiction manuscript publication

Her research interests and teaching philosophy center on Creative Writing, Contemporary Poetry, and Educational Equity, with a focus on supporting students facing academic challenges. Dewing was honored in 2022 with the MCIE Award for her exceptional support of students with disabilities, including collaboration with Disability Support Services to arrange accommodations. Her recent work spans poetry, fiction manuscripts, and educational advocacy.
