Chamara Moore

Chamara Moore is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Queens College, City University of New York (CUNY). Her scholarly work bridges Black Feminist Cultural Studies, Speculative Fiction, and Critical Race Theory, focusing on how Black creators challenge dominant cultural paradigms through speculative narratives.

• Research Interests: Black womanhood, Posthumanism, African-American literature, and intersections of race/sexuality in speculative media.
• Teaching: Courses include "Race & the Nonhuman" (Senior Seminar) and introductions to literary studies using contemporary writers of color.
• Publications: Recent work explores HBO's Watchmen, Octavia Butler's legacy, and anti-racist reinventions of literary forms.
