Cenk Aktas

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Cenk Aktas is a Professor at the Technische Fakultät of Kiel University, affiliated with the Chair for Multicomponent Materials. His research focuses on advanced materials engineering, particularly in developing strain-invariant conductors through innovative thin film deposition techniques.

Collaborating with the Chair for Functional Nanotechnology (Prof. Adelung), his team creates ultra-lightweight foam-like frameworks combining poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). These materials exhibit super-elastic deformation, water stability, and consistent electrical conductance under mechanical strain.
