Cathy Homard

Cathy Homard is an Associate Professor at Mount Mercy University, specializing in graduate nursing education. She teaches in the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs. Her professional background includes 18+ years as a nurse educator and clinical experience in pediatric and adult intensive care units across Texas, Ohio, and Iowa.

Her research and professional interests focus on advancing clinical nursing education and improving critical care transport systems, exemplified by her role in developing the Pediatric Transport Program at UnityPoint Health in Des Moines. Outside academia, Homard enjoys outdoor activities such as reading, hiking, and camping.
