Cathrin Carithers, DNP, RN, serves as the Assistant Dean and Clinical Associate Professor at the UNMC College of Nursing's Kearney Division. She joined UNMC in 2017 and has been in academia since 2002. Her roles include teaching in graduate programs, advising Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) projects, and mentoring students across central Nebraska.

Research & Interests: Dr. Carithers focuses on belongingness, health promotion, interprofessional education, and workforce development. Her clinical expertise spans pediatric intensive care, lactation consulting, diabetes education, and maternal-child health.

Service & Leadership: Active with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), UNMC Interprofessional Academy of Educators, and the Kearney Dawn Rotary Club. She also serves on the Health Education Center of Nebraska Board and contributed to a Rotary International project improving maternal/child health in Kenya.
