Catherine Ramsdell

Catherine Ramsdell is Professor and Chair of Liberal Arts at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she has taught since 2000. Holding a PhD in English from Auburn University, her academic work focuses on digital storytelling, narrative techniques, and information literacy in contemporary media environments. She serves as book review staff for PopMatters.com, contributing regular reviews and blog posts.

Her research examines the evolution of storytelling practices in digital contexts, with publications including 'Storytelling, Narration, and the Who I Am Story' in the Writing Spaces anthology. Recent conference presentations address new media tools, digital publishing challenges, and pedagogical approaches to writing instruction in technological contexts.

Administrative service includes extensive committee leadership across faculty development, online learning, and curriculum design initiatives. She currently serves as staff liaison to college councils, coordinating institutional assessment and program development.
