Catherine Q. Wetzel

Catherine Q. Wetzel is an Associate Professor at the College of Architecture, Illinois Institute of Technology. She holds a B.ARCH. from the University of Cincinnati and an M.ARCH. from the University of Pennsylvania. Her research focuses on integrative curricula and collaborative teaching models in architectural education.

She has received prestigious awards including the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture Creative Achievement Award (2011-12 and 2005-06) and the American Institute of Architects Education Honor Award for Emerging Talent (2006). Her work emphasizes bridging structural concepts with design education in foundational studio programs.
