Catherine J Williams is an Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics at Cumberland University, affiliated with The Labry School of Science, Technology, and Business. She holds an A.A. from the University of Florida and a B.A. from the University of South Florida, Tampa. With over three decades of experience in mathematics education, she has taught middle and high school mathematics in Tennessee and Florida, supervised Secondary Math Education majors at Vanderbilt’s Peabody College, and contributed to homeschool tutorial programs.
Her research interests lie in mathematics education and pedagogical strategies for K-12 instruction. Her work has focused on practical training for future educators and curriculum development for secondary mathematics.
At Cumberland University, Williams currently supports higher education through her adjunct teaching role, bridging her extensive classroom experience with university-level instruction.
Active in community engagement, she participates in music ministries at First Baptist Church Nashville, including choir accompaniment, handbell performance, and teaching roles in Vacation Bible School and Music Arts Camp.
