Kenneth Borrmann is Dean of Music and Chair of Keyboard Studies at Cairn University, where he has taught since 1994. He also serves as director of the Cairn Handbell Choir and the ensemble Laudate.
Education:
- MMus in Piano Performance from West Chester University
- BS in Bible and BMus in Piano from Cairn University
Borrmann is active as a soloist, accompanist, and chamber music collaborator, with notable performances including Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 1 and Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 1. He has conducted Handel’s Messiah and served as church music director for 30 years.
His academic specialties include Accompanying Techniques, Class Piano, Piano Literature, and Handbell Choir leadership. He studied piano with Dr. Samuel Hsu, Benjamin Whitten, and Martin Canin of the Juilliard School.
