Catherine Cullingham

Catherine Cullingham is an Assistant Professor at Carleton University, specializing in plant population genetics. Her research bridges population genetics, landscape genetics, and disease spread risk analysis, with applications to invasive species and forest genetics.

She earned her undergraduate degree in molecular biology and genetics from the University of Guelph, followed by a Master’s and PhD in landscape genetics at Trent University. Her postdoctoral work at the University of Alberta focused on chronic wasting disease in deer and mountain pine beetle genetics in pine trees.
