Catherine Bush

Catherine Bush is an Associate Professor at the School of Theatre, English, and Creative Writing, University of Guelph. She specializes in contemporary literature, climate fiction, and narrative innovation, with internationally acclaimed novels exploring moral complexity and interdisciplinary themes.

• Coordinator of the University of Guelph’s Creative Writing MFA program since 2008
• Fiction Meets Science Fellow (2019, Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg, Germany)
• Writer-in-Residence at multiple Canadian universities

Her research focuses on integrating climate change into creative writing pedagogy and hybrid narrative forms. She has been a fellow at prestigious institutions including the MacDowell Colony and Yaddo.
