Pasha Malla

Pasha Malla is Associate Professor in the Department of English at York University. An award-winning author of fiction and poetry, his work explores narrative innovation in contemporary literature.

Teaches creative writing and literature, having previously held positions at University of Toronto, McMaster University (Writer-in-Residence 2021-22), and University of Guelph. Mentors emerging writers through PEN Canada, Banff Centre, and Diaspora Dialogues.

Awarded the Trillium Book Award, Hamilton Literary Prize, and Arthur Ellis Award for fiction. Nominated for the Giller Prize, Commonwealth Prize, and International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.
