Dr. Caterina Albano is a Reader at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. She holds a PhD in Renaissance Studies (London University, 1993–1998) and specializes in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of art, medical sciences, and cultural theory. Her work explores the cultural history of emotion, politics of memory, and contemporary art practices, with a focus on themes like fear, vulnerability, and the unconscious.
