Dr Alison Green is a Professor and Co-Director of Doctoral Training and Development at the University of the Arts London (UAL) Doctoral School, and a Reader in Art, Curating, and Culture at Central Saint Martins. Her expertise spans art history, curatorial practices, and the socio-political dimensions of cultural production. She leads initiatives to advance doctoral education and has developed internationally recognized postgraduate curating programs.
Education: PhD from Oxford Brookes University, MA from the University of Texas at Austin, and BA from Princeton University. She holds certifications in teaching and supervising research in art and design.
Research Interests: Focuses on the 1960s art revolution, exhibition histories, and curatorial practices as social interventions. Explores themes of cultural value, feminism, and capitalism’s impact on institutions. Projects include collaborations with galleries like the South London Gallery and Austrian Cultural Forum, emphasizing public engagement and community-driven art.
