Caroline Streeter

Caroline Streeter is Associate Professor of English and African American Studies at UCLA. She holds a PhD in Ethnic Studies with a Designated Emphasis in Women, Gender and Sexuality from UC Berkeley and a BA in Feminist Studies from Stanford University.

Her research examines representations of mixed-race identity in popular culture, African American visual culture, and intersections of race, gender, and sexuality. Her book 'Tragic No More' analyzes mixed-race women in media and celebrity culture.

Streeter's work spans literary analysis, film studies, and cultural criticism, with publications on figures including Barack Obama, Mariah Carey, and Alicia Keys in relation to racial politics and representation.
