Caroline Kinsey serves as Principal Horn with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra and Artistic Operations Manager for the Sewanee Summer Music Festival. She previously held positions as Principal Horn of the Arkansas Symphony and Horn Lecturer at the University of Mississippi, University of Central Arkansas, and Ouachita Baptist University. Kinsey received her Bachelor of Music from Eastman School of Music and Professional Studies Certificate from Cleveland Institute of Music. Her international teaching includes masterclasses in Bolivia and collaborations with the Hot Springs Music Festival. She also manages Lukas Horns, a custom French horn building business.
Her research focuses on horn performance techniques, orchestral repertoire, and pedagogical methods for brass instruments. Kinsey's extensive performance career includes engagements with the Honolulu Symphony, Nashville Symphony, and National Orchestral Institute.
