Carol Anderson

Carol Anderson is an Adjunct Professor in the Theatre Department at Asbury University, based at the Miller Center for Communication Arts. She holds an M.F.A. in Acting from UNC-Chapel Hill and a B.A. in Biblical Studies and American Studies from Barrington College. Her expertise includes acting, directing, and integrating theatre with ministry.

• Teaches acting and directing courses at Asbury.
• Directed plays such as the sold-out 'Crowned with Glory and Honour' at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (2019).
• Previously served as Associate Professor of Theatre at Montreat College.

Her work extends beyond academia: she is a professional actress and co-founder of Acts of Renewal, a ministry combining theatre with speaking. They have performed nationally and internationally, including at Harvard and Revive Our Hearts conferences (live-streamed to 400,000+ globally). She prioritizes mentoring students, offering opportunities like participation in Familylife marriage cruises and the 2021 Edinburgh Festival.

Current projects include developing theatre initiatives responsive to the challenges of the pandemic.
