Carol Anderson

Dr. Carol Anderson is an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah, specializing in Vocal Diction, Coaching, Literature, and Collaboration. With over two decades of experience in opera and vocal coaching, she has worked with prestigious institutions such as Utah Symphony | Utah Opera (USUO), The Santa Fe Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Los Angeles Opera, and Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music.

Dr. Anderson has held music staff positions at Houston Grand Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Seattle Opera, Sarasota Opera, Brevard Music Center, Nashville Opera, and Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. She has also conducted performances of Amahl and the Night Visitors and completed two seasons as an apprentice coach with the Houston Grand Opera Studio and Aspen Opera Theater Center.

Notably, she recently collaborated with mezzo-soprano Katharine Goeldner in Silenced Voices: Music by Female Composers of the Holocaust, performed at the American Gothic Festival and the Wagner Society of Santa Fe.
