Carl Miller is an Associate Professor of English and current Chair of the English Department at Palm Beach Atlantic University's School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, where he joined in 2013. He also serves as Fellow for University Scholarships and Development and faculty coordinator for Rhodes and Fulbright Scholarships.
His educational background includes a PhD in English from the University of Florida, an MA in English from Ohio State University, and a BA in English from Wittenberg University.
Dr. Miller's research spans Children's Literature, Comparative Literature, and Critical Theory, with notable work on migration dynamics in Cormac McCarthy's The Road, material politics of children's book awards, and universal ethics in Dr. Seuss's work. His teaching repertoire includes seminars on global literature, modernism/postmodernism, and Christianity's intersection with literature.
As Director of PBA's Prestigious National Scholarship Program, he has guided students to major awards. In 2018, he taught at the University of Roehampton through PBA's London Program after participating in Cornell University's School of Criticism and Theory (2014).
