April Kendra is an Assistant Professor at the University of Delaware with a joint appointment in English and Women and Gender Studies. She holds a Ph.D. in English literature from the University of Georgia, obtained in 2011. Her research focuses on popular genres including 19th-century fashionable novels, YA fiction, chick lit, and vampire narratives. She currently serves as the faculty sponsor for UD's Sigma Tau Delta chapter, the International English Honor Society.
