Cara Anthony

Cara Anthony is Professor of Theology at the University of St. Thomas' College of Arts and Sciences. She holds a PhD from Boston College, an MA from Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley, and BA from University of Notre Dame.

Her research explores:

• Christian spirituality in contemporary contexts
• Environmental theology and ecological ethics
• Walking rituals as embodied resistance to fast-paced culture
• Street rituals and public expressions of faith

Publications examine pilgrimage traditions like the Camino de Santiago as forms of spiritual resistance, theological approaches to environmental care, and Catholic intellectual traditions in education.

Awards:

• 2020 University of St. Thomas Professor of the Year
• 2018 Faculty Advisor Award for first-year advising

She currently teaches courses on theology of creation, environmental ethics, and theology-natural science intersections.
