Camille Schiess

Camille Schiess serves as Professor of Violin in the Department of Music within the School of Fine Arts at Concordia University Texas. A native of Santa Barbara, California, she is an active performer in Austin's vibrant music scene, appearing at venues ranging from symphony concert halls to festivals like South by Southwest.

Her performance repertoire traverses Classical, Contemporary, and Folk traditions on violin and fiddle. In pedagogy, she emphasizes creating a supportive and joyful learning environment for students at all levels.

Professor Schiess maintains an active performance schedule with notable appearances including a solo performance with the Austin Civic Orchestra and a televised performance with The Roots on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon (2019).
