Emily Crane

Dr. Emily Hanna Crane is a Professor of Music and Coordinator of the Orchestral Strings Area at Austin Peay State University (APSU), where she teaches violin, viola, folk music ensemble, chamber music, and string methods. She joined APSU in 2008 and maintains an active studio as a Suzuki-registered teacher.

Dr. Crane specializes in violin performance, contemporary music promotion, and Suzuki pedagogy. Her research interests include chamber ensemble techniques, folk music integration, and educational outreach through studio recordings.

Her recent recordings span orchestral collaborations (2012), contemporary compositions (2009), and solo violin repertoire (2008). These works reflect her commitment to expanding modern classical music and fostering cultural performance practices.
