Camilla Yoder is a Lecturer at the Lionel Hampton School of Music, University of Idaho, within the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences. She is an accomplished oboist and music educator with a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) from the University of Kentucky.
Her research and performance interests include oboe pedagogy, double-tonguing techniques, and the application of Body Mapping and kinesthetic awareness in musical training. These areas are informed by both her academic work and professional performance experience.
Camilla was invited to present her dissertation research at the 2024 International Double Reed Society Conference, highlighting her contributions to oboe education. She performed the Martinu Oboe Concerto as a winner of the University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition in Spring 2024.

She has extensive performance experience as a guest musician with professional orchestras including the Lexington Philharmonic, Harrisburg Symphony, Allentown Symphony, Berks Sinfonietta, and Pennsylvania Philharmonic. Her festival appearances include the Texas Music Festival, National Music Festival, Chautauqua Music Institute, Endless Mountain Music Festival, Decoda Skidmore Chamber Music Institute, and the National Orchestral Institute.
As an educator, she has maintained a private oboe studio with students of varying levels and ages. She is currently contributing to music education at the University of Idaho in a temporary faculty role.
