Professor Camilla Svensen specializes in marine ecology with focus on Arctic zooplankton biodiversity, food webs and biological carbon pump at UiT The Arctic University of Norway's Department of Arctic and Marine Biology. She leads the Bachelor program in Biology and teaches Bio-2513 Marine Biodiversity.
Her research examines plankton dynamics in Arctic ecosystems, including seasonal variations in zooplankton communities and their role in carbon cycling. Recent fieldwork has focused on shelf-to-basin gradients in Arctic waters.
She has developed innovative educational approaches for physiology courses using digital assessment tools to enhance student learning outcomes.
