His research focuses on neuropsychiatric genetics, particularly the role of rare genetic variants and copy-number variants in psychosis, cognitive impairment, and schizophrenia. He employs genomic data to better understand neuropsychiatric phenotypes and disorders such as Alzheimer's and multiple sclerosis. His interests extend to pharmacogenetics, neurodevelopment, and the neuropsychiatric effects of conditions like COVID-19.
The recent publications highlight a strong trend in applying genetic and genomic methods to neuropsychiatric conditions, with emphasis on systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and structural equation modelling.
