Cameron Crotts

Cameron Crotts is a Professor of the Practice and Director of Jazz Studies at Georgia Institute of Technology's School of Music (College of Design). He holds a doctorate and is a GRAMMY-nominated artist with extensive performance experience with major artists like Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, and The Temptations. His creative work includes recordings with groups such as the Third Coast Jazz Orchestra and appearances at venues like Carnegie Hall and Le Duc des Lombards (Paris).

As an educator, he specializes in Jazz and Brass Pedagogy, Breathing Techniques for Wind Players, and Versatility in Performance. He leads clinics nationally and serves as Brass Caption Head of the Blue Devils (21-time World Champion marching ensemble). He has presented at conferences including the International Trumpet Guild and Midwest Clinic.

Dr. Crotts is actively involved in adjudication through organizations like Drum Corps International and Music for All. He serves as Vice-President of the Georgia Association of Jazz Educators and holds membership in NAfME, the Jazz Education Network, and the International Trumpet Guild. His accolades include NEA grants and the Georgia Tech Teaching Fellowship.
