Calvin Lewis

Dr. Calvin Lewis is a Lecturer in Educational Policy and Community Studies at UW-Milwaukee. His research examines race and schooling, education politics, critical pedagogy, and exclusionary policies in K-12 settings. He specializes in developing 'grow your own' teaching programs to increase diversity in the PK-12 teaching workforce, particularly for young men of color.

With over 14 years of nonprofit experience, Dr. Lewis also serves as Chief Impact Officer for We Will All Rise, creating initiatives that support the academic and professional development of young Black and Brown males. In this role, he oversees strategic direction, impact assessment, and fundraising.
