Callum Smart

Callum Smart is a Professor of Violin at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM), renowned for his international performances and innovative pedagogy. He combines his academic role with a significant social media presence (over 40k followers on Instagram). His playing is praised for its 'singing line' and 'brilliant technique,' with interpretations described as 'utterly convincing.'

Smart has performed with leading orchestras including the Royal Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, and Philharmonia. Recent highlights include the Elgar Concerto in the UK and US, Korngold Violin Concerto, and collaborations with pianist Richard Uttley and hornist Ben Goldscheider.
