Caitlin Knight is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Roehampton, affiliated with the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. She specializes in the sociology of emotions, media and crime, and cultural criminology, with a focus on genocide reporting and organizational stressors.
Her research includes projects on the emotional impact of student commutes during the pandemic, funded by the Southlands Methodist Trust, and ongoing work on police organizational stressors and public attitudes toward prison reform. She supervises undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.
As Programme Leader for the MA Criminology & Criminal Justice, she teaches modules such as Crime, Power and Social Justice and Criminological Theories. Her professional affiliations include the British Sociological Association and Journalism Safety Research Network.
