CHEONG Jun Ming Mervyn

CHEONG Jun Ming Mervyn is an Associate Professor (Practice) and Deputy Director of the Centre for Pro Bono & Clinical Legal Education at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Faculty of Law. He is a seasoned litigator admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2009, with extensive experience in criminal, civil, and commercial litigation, including high-profile capital cases. Mervyn has practiced in private firms, served as in-house counsel at an international bank, and currently focuses on clinical legal education and pro bono advocacy.

His research interests span criminal law, intellectual property management, and legal ethics. Mervyn has represented clients in landmark cases such as Public Prosecution v Mohammad Azli Bin Mohammad Salleh (2020 SGCA 40) and Public Prosecutor v Khoo Kwee Hock Leslie (2019 SGHC 215). He specializes in advocating for justice in white-collar crimes, capital offenses, and corporate compliance.
