Burke Rea

Burke Rea is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Co-Director of the Minor in Bioethics & Medical Humanities at Templeton Honors College, Eastern University. He teaches across philosophy disciplines and specializes in action theory and bioethics, particularly examining end-of-life care and human responsibility.

• Focus on Aristotelian tradition, Thomas Aquinas, and G.E.M. Anscombe

His research explores intersections between theoretical philosophy, medical ethics, and embodiment. Outside academia, he engages in creative hobbies with his wife, a fine artist specializing in oil painting and jewelry.
