Professor Bryce Woolley is a faculty member in the Academic Success and Bar Preparation Department at Southwestern Law School, dedicated to optimizing student success in bar preparation. He holds a B.A. (summa cum laude) from UC San Diego (2008) and a J.D. from UCLA School of Law (2011). Prior to academia, he practiced complex commercial and healthcare litigation, served as a law clerk at the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and engaged in pro bono work focusing on public benefits, tenant disputes, and LGBTQ+ rights. He is a member of the California State Bar and currently serves on the board of the Center for Health Justice.
His research and professional interests span legal education methodologies, bar exam strategies, and health justice advocacy. He has presented nationally on pedagogical innovations like ludic (game-based) approaches to bar preparation and the role of humor in memorization. Beyond academia, Woolley is an active combat robotics competitor featured on BattleBots, blending technical expertise with legal education.
