Bryan McConnell

Bryan McConnell is an Adjunct Professor, System Administrator, and Faculty Research Associate in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at Florida Atlantic University (FAU). He holds an MBA in International Business and a Master's in Information Technology and Operations Management, both from FAU. His expertise spans database management, telecommunications applications development, and leveraging technology to address educational and urban planning challenges.

Previously, McConnell worked in early childhood education as a computer analyst managing databases for hundreds of schools, and in telecommunications developing applications for fiber optic cable deployment. He now focuses on integrating technology into urban planning education and preparing for technological advancements in the field.

McConnell teaches an Introduction to Visual Planning Technology course and supports the department’s technological infrastructure. He is affiliated with FAU’s Visual Planning Technology Laboratory and Collaborative Sciences Center for Road Safety, contributing to interdisciplinary research initiatives.
