Brigitte Scherer

Prof. Brigitte Scherer holds the position of Professor of Leadership and Communication at the University of Freiburg (until 9/2020) and serves as Head of the MA Management and Leadership Competence program. Her work focuses on organizational dynamics, change management, and communication strategies within complex systems.

• Education:
• Dipl. Soz. Päd. (FH) in Social Pedagogy from the Protestant University of Applied Sciences for Social Work in Reutlingen
• Dipl. Psych. in Psychology from the University of Bremen
• Part-time studies in "Supervision and Organizational Consulting" at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences in Hanover (Certified Supervisor and Organizational Consultant)

Her research spans organizational cultures, technology implementation in public sectors, conflict resolution in prisons, and resistance during organizational change. She has conducted projects for schools, public transport companies, employment offices, and correctional facilities. Her earlier roles include research assistantships at the University of Bremen’s Institute of Psychology and Social Research, as well as freelance consulting for the Bremen Academy for Work and Politics.

She has also contributed to community initiatives, such as designing educational programs for the association 'Women Learn Together'. Her expertise bridges social psychology, organizational behavior, and practical management challenges.
