Brigitte Jurack

Brigitte Jurack is Reader and Head of Sculpture/Time Based Arts at Manchester School of Art. Her research develops autonomous sculptures using traditional/digital modeling and large-scale performance projects addressing trade, value, and social engagement through the collective Foreign Investment.

Practice investigates representations of youth in public sculpture and material epistemologies. Recent projects include 'Translating the Street' (artist residencies with multicultural businesses) and 'Healthier Together' (public engagement with devolution).

Exhibited internationally including Irish Museum of Modern Art, Bluecoat Gallery, and Chinese Arts Centre. Education includes studies at Düsseldorf Kunstakademie, Glasgow School of Art, and Chelsea College of Arts. Serves as External Examiner at Kingston University.
