Alexis Teplin is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Fine Art at Kingston School of Art, Kingston University. She teaches on the BA Fine Art and MFA Fine Art programs and supervises PhD students.
Research Interests:
Her artistic practice is rooted in what is known as expanded painting, extending beyond traditional two-dimensional formats into performance, video, and sculpture. Through installation, she investigates the nature of painting, its historical references, and its intersections with cultural politics, labor, and decadence. Her work critically engages with art history and contemporary visual culture.
