Alexis Harding

Alexis Harding is a Course Leader for the MA Fine Art and Module Leader for the BA program at the University of East London (UEL), within the Department of Architecture & Visual Arts, School of Architecture Computing and Engineering. A critically renowned, award-winning artist, he specializes in contemporary fine art painting and has led educational initiatives since 2014. His roles include external examiner at institutions like NCAD Dublin and Goldsmiths College, as well as visiting tutorships at UAL Chelsea College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, and others.

His artistic practice is prolific, with 26 solo exhibitions and 121 group exhibitions since 1995. Harding emphasizes advancing student practice through studio environments, workshops, and engagement with London’s art scene. The MA Fine Art course he leads integrates professional practice, art history/theory, and studio work, offering full-time and part-time options.

Awarded major accolades as an artist, Harding’s work challenges contemporary art conventions. He supports students through exhibition opportunities, gallery visits, and process-driven learning.
