Brian Rosa

Brian Rosa is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Research Fellow at Universitat Pompeu Fabra's Department of Humanities. Previously, he served as Assistant Professor at City University of New York and Lecturer at University of Connecticut. His work examines deindustrialization, urban infrastructure, and heritage politics across Britain, the United States, and Spain.

Rosa's research employs visual methodologies to analyze how industrial landscapes transform through preservation debates and gentrification. His current Barcelona project investigates the symbolic meaning of conserved smokestacks in former industrial districts.
