Brian McVicker

Brian McVicker is a Lecturer and Technical Director at the School of Theatre, Television, and Film at San Diego State University (SDSU). He joined SDSU in 2015 after serving as Associate Technical Director at Arena Stage in Washington, D.C., where he worked on world premieres that transitioned to Broadway, dramas, musicals, and dance productions.

• Prior roles: Associate Technical Director at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Assistant Technical Director and Master Carpenter at University of Maryland’s Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center

• Current projects: Assistant Technical Director at Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, contributing to world premieres like The Heart of Rock & Roll and Almost Famous
