Brian Henry

Brian Henry is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis at the University of Missouri’s College of Education & Human Development. He holds a BS in Education from Missouri Valley College, MA in Education from Baker University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Kansas.

His expertise focuses on

• leadership development initiatives
• curriculum development and leadership frameworks

Dr. Henry has held administrative roles including superintendent, deputy superintendent, and principal across K-12 settings. He currently serves as Missouri Commissioner for the Interstate Compact on Educational Opportunity for Military Children, advocating for equitable education for military families.

Recipient of awards recognizing his leadership in education administration and community engagement, including the Norman Arflack Leadership Award from the Military Interstate Children’s Compact Commission.
