Brian Christensen

Brian Christensen is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art at Brigham Young University (BYU). He specializes in ceramics, sculpture, and 3D design, currently serving as Area Coordinator of the 3D Studio Area. He has led study abroad programs in Australia/New Zealand, Spain, and Italy, and collaborated on the BYU Egypt Excavation Project (2014) with a pending related publication.

Education: MFA from Washington University, St. Louis (1992).

Research interests focus on ceramics and sculpture, blending artistic practice with educational outreach. His work is exhibited nationally/internationally, including recent shows at CUAC (Salt Lake City), University of Florida, Arc Gallery (Chicago), and M.G. Nelson Gallery (Springfield, IL). He has lectured widely across Utah and Idaho.

Professional contributions include expanding BYU's sculpture/ceramics facilities and managing art resource centers. Collaborations span archaeological projects and academic partnerships.
