Brett Caraway

Brett Caraway is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto, affiliated with the Institute of Communication, Culture, Information and Technology (ICCIT), the Institute for Management & Innovation (IMI), and the School of the Environment. He also serves as Acting Director of ICCIT and Director of the Master of Science in Sustainability Management (MScSM) program at the University of Toronto Mississauga.

Education:

• PhD in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin

Research Interests:

• Examines intersections between economics, sustainability, and technological development
• Focus on digital media economics, ecological economics, and political ecology of resources
• Explores implications of AI, privacy regulation, and digital payment systems
