Brendon de Raad is a PhD candidate and Lecturer at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) and the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. He holds a master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Technology from TU Delft. His primary affiliation is with the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management, within the Department of Engineering Systems and Services, and is part of the Energy and Industry research group. His work focuses on advancing heat pump integration in energy-intensive industries, with an emphasis on identifying implementation hotspots, optimizing technology configurations, and addressing technical-economic uncertainties. Brendon also contributes to the Sustainable Port Cities research center and teaches courses on thermodynamics and energy optimization at Rotterdam’s applied university.
