About
Brandon YIP is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Lee Kong Chian Fellow at the School of Social Sciences (SOSS), Singapore Management University (SMU). His research spans moral psychology, epistemology, meta-ethics, and social philosophy, with a focus on emotion’s normativity and interdisciplinary connections between morality and other domains like aesthetics. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Australian National University (2023) and a BA (First Class Honours) in Philosophy from the National University of Singapore (2018).
His recent work explores perceptual theories of emotion, intellectual humility, and the role of emotions in interpersonal relationships. Publications appear in Philosophical Studies, Synthese, and Erkenntnis.
