Brad Dell

Brad Dell is Chair of the Department of Music and Theatre and Full Professor at Iowa State University (ISU), specializing in directing and performing arts education. He serves as National Chair of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) and previously chaired KCACTF Region 5. His roles include artistic directorships at Apple Hill Playhouse, Repertory Theater of Iowa, and Iowa Stage Theater Company.

Education: B.A. in Theatre from Westminster College (New Wilmington, PA) and M.F.A. in Directing from Western Illinois University.

Research interests focus on theatrical production, education, and arts leadership. Over 100 directed plays/musicals highlight his expertise in classic and modern works like King Lear, Cabaret, and Les Misérables.
